Ushanandini Viswanathan

Ushanandini, true to her name (Usha means Dawn, Nandini means woman who brings Joy) is joy, happiness and a ray of hope to many. Inner Wheel is her first University where she learnt about life and the world. Inner Wheel moulded her personality and gave her an opportunity to expand her Friendship and do Service. She joined Inner Wheel in 1997 and was the President of IWC Thanjavur in 2007 and District Chairman 2017-18. She is a Bharathnatyam dancer, writer, orator, psychologist and counsellor. She loves travelling to the cities and countries having historical importance.

Gita Dhawan

District 301

Gita Dhawan joined Inner Wheel Club of Delhi Vasant Kunj in 2004 and became a proud member of the prestigious District-301. Her achievements include winning the Outstanding President Award, introducing a Club Directory, publishing 11 issues of the newsletters, “Vaani”, and organizing a District joint project and an Art of Living course for the patients with spinal injuries and their families. She has attended the South Asia Rally at Sri Lanka. She served as Steward at the 13th Triennial Conference at Hyderabad. Her hobbies include playing badminton, listening to old songs and gazals and spending time with family.

V. Sridevi

V. Sridevi is an M.A., M.C.A., M. Phil and B. Ed. She has been working at the Andhra Pradesh Productivity Council since 1990. She is experienced in EDP training programs in both the Public and Private sectors. Sridevi joined IWC Vijayawada in 2000. She received the Best President Award in 2007-08. She has successfully held all the posts at the District level. She has attended several Triennial Conferences, South Asia Rallies and Multi-District Rallies. She is a passionate traveller and has visited 24 countries. She is a nature lover and is especially fond of animals

Sangeeta Ghodgaonkar

District 303

Sangeeta Ghodgaonkar is a graduate in Microbiology and has a post graduate degree in Environmental Science from Pune University. She has received many prizes in Kathak dance & table tennis. She has conducted many environmental awareness programs in India & abroad. She received the maximum number of awards, including 'Best President', during her Presidential year in Inner Wheel. She has attended 3 Triennials and the IIW Convention in Copenhagen. As District Chairman, she hosted the West Zone Meet, Footprints, in August 2017, which was widely appreciated.

Manju Jain

District 304

Manju Jain joined Inner Wheel in the year 1991 as member of IWC Bhopal East. She held the post of Club President three times and Club Secretary four times. She has been honoured with Best President, Best Secretary and Best Project awards from the District. Her contribution towards the development of God’s special children is truly commendable. She is a firm believer in God and her principle in life is "Dare to Dream, Strive to Achieve". Manju's friends know her as a humble, reliable and caring person, one who is always ready to help others.

Sunita Jain

Sunita Jain was born and brought up in Gwalior. She has 30 years of valuable experience in the field of Education. She is a passionate and caring teacher, firm and result-oriented administrator, eloquent speaker and Principal of her own CBSE affiliated school in Gwalior. Her work brought her laurels as a brilliant Inner Wheel President, Outstanding District Treasurer and a very successful and popular District Chairman. She has attended 16 Assemblies, 14 Conferences, Triennials at Hyderabad and Kolkata, and IIW Convention at Melbourne.

Suraksha Bathla

District 306

Suraksha Harish Bathla is an active, multi-faceted and versatile personality. She is a double MA from Punjab University. She has been an Inner Wheel member since 1976 and has served at all club posts at least twice. In 1995-1996 she was unanimously Elected District Chairman. She has also served in the Rotary District. She is a renowned social worker of her home club Veraval (Somnath) and heads six N.G.O.s. She has been bestowed with the Nari Ratan Award & Rashtriya Gaurav Award and many other accolades for her service. She served as District Chairman for the second time in 2017- 18. She has attended all Association Events and also the Melbourne Convention.

Uma Bhagat

District 307

Uma Bhagat joined IW In the year 1999. After serving on various club executive posts, she became President in 2005-06. She was honoured as Best President and Secretary during her tenure. She has served in all district posts and has attended two South Asia Rallies and three Triennial Conferences. Her selfless service and dedication towards Inner wheel has helped many needy people. Uma is fond of taking up new projects. Apart from that, she has a keen interest in listening to music, reading books, meditation & painting. She is committed not only to social work but is also ever ready to help one and all. She has a strong belief in God and has a deep sense of duty towards her family and society.

Shashi Kir

District 308

Shashi Kir is a science graduate with a post graduate degree in English Literature and a B.Ed. Teaching school children moral and social values, besides Science and English, has been a passion for the past 22 years. She joined Inner Wheel in the year 1990 and was President twice, Zonal Chairman five times and Chairman of various sub-committees. She has won many awards for excellence in service. She entered the District Executive Committee in 2012 as District Editor. She has attended the South Asia Rally, the Triennial, the Diamond Jubilee of Inner Wheel Clubs in India and many Association and Inter-District Events. She is fond of nature, reading, writing, travelling and making new friends and has many firsts to her credit as a Chairman. “Giving More and Expecting Less” is her motto in life.

Ajindar Cheema

District 309

Ajindar Cheema did her Senior Cambridge from La Martiniere and graduated in 1964 from Loreto College, Lucknow. She devotes her time to education and supports tree plantation. Her constant aim in life is to reach out to people who need help and empower them in the best possible way to become self-reliant. She is a great supporter of the 'Save the Girl Child' initiative.

Asha Jain

Asha Jain was born in a socially active and religious family of Kandhla, District Muzaffarnagar. She completed her graduation at Jammu University and post-graduation in Sociology at Kerala University. She feels pleasure in serving and helping others. She represented Jammu in Interstate Kho-Kho and Handball. She also represented her school and college in other sports. She joined Inner Wheel in 1999. After serving at all posts at the club level, she joined District Executive Committee in 2012-13 as District Editor and has served at the post of District ISO, District Treasurer, District Secretary, District Vice Chairman & District Chairman successfully. She is a homemaker and fond of reading, travelling and making friends. She has widely travelled all over India and abroad. During her year as Chairman she was committed to working for the betterment of society and upholding the ideals of Inner Wheel-friendship, service and understanding.

Saroj Katiyar

District 311

Saroj Katiyar has done her M A (Honors). As Club President she has won several awards. As District Chairman, Saroj organized the North Zone Meet - “Foot Prints”, donated 20 sanitary napkin vending machines, 30 bicycles and 69 large umbrellas to vendors. She published a quarterly 'Chairman's News Letter' and launched the website 'Superstree'. During her tenure 55 schools were converted into Happy Schools. She also started 13 new Inner Wheel clubs and organized several District Programs. She has attended many Triennial Conferences and the International Convention in Melbourne, Australia.

Mamta Dwivedi

District 312

Mamta Dwivedi is a graduate of arts. She joined Inner Wheel in 2003. During her year as Club President, she was appreciated by Sri Murli Manohar Joshi, one of the seniormost leaders of BJP for her contribution in the field of girl education. As District ESO, she added 6 new Clubs in her District. Mamta translated the Association By-Laws into Hindi twice. It was released by Prabha Raghunandan during her installation function at Ranchi. Her interests include listening to old songs, cooking and travelling to different places.

Dr. R. Savithri Raghupati

District 313

Dr R. Savithri Raghupathi is an M.A in Sociology, M. Ed, MCJ (Dip) and a Ph.D. in Education. She joined Inner Wheel in 1996 as a member of IWC Khopoli. Recipient of the Best President & Secretary Award, Savithri joined the District Executive Committee as District Editor and served twice as District ESO. She is also the recipient of the Best District Treasurer Award. She has been enjoying Inner Wheel for the past 23 years and she feels it is the best platform for every woman to become a true human being. Sincere, honest, humble, religious, she likes to read books on scriptures. Savithri loves helping people and has a deep rooted belief in God and Karma.

Dr. Madhavi Pandya

District 314

Dr Madhavi Pandya is a Gynaecologist in Borivli, Mumbai. She has delivered lectures on several health topics in schools, colleges, in Rotary and Inner Wheel. She has been awarded an Appreciation Trophy for project KISHORI by FOGSI for creating health awareness amongst school children. She is the Charter President of Inner Wheel Club of Borivli. From 2002 to 2008 she has served on the Board of Directors of Jan Shikshan Sanasthan –a Govt of India sponsored vocational training institute.

Janaki Mohan

District 315

Janaki Mohan hails from an illustrious legendary family. Her grandfather, Sir Alladi Krishnaswami, was a legal luminary and her father Prof. Alladi Prabhakar was the Dean of the Engineering College, Osmania University. She did her B.A. at R.B.V.R.R College for Women in Hyderabad and B.ED from Annamalai University. She did three courses in French from Alliance Francais. She has given Bharatnatyam performances in India and abroad. During her term as President, her club got 6 awards and 2 certificates, including the Best President Award. Thereafter she became Zonal Representative, before entering the District Committee and climbing up the ladder to the post of District Chairman.

G. N. Varalakshmi

G. N. Varalakshmi was born at Madakasira in Anantapur. She graduated from Osmania University, Hyderabad and did her post-graduation in Commerce from Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur. SheisanemployeeoftheesteemedStateBankofIndiaforthepast30years. She was inspired to join Rotary by her friends during its centenary year 2004-05. She served as Club President RC Guntakal in 2010-11 and her dedication for service was recognized by RI 3160 which honoured her with 14 awards, including Best President, Best Club and Presidential Citation Award with Distinction.Thereafter,shespreadherwingsofservicetoInnerWheelandenteredDistrictECin2012-13 andcompletedallthepostsandbecameDistrictChairman in2017-18.Shehasherownwayofleavinga lasting legacyasaleaderforherfollowers.Herhobbiesarereadingbooksandlisteningtomusic.

Usha Goudar

Usha Goudar is a Science Graduate from Shivaji University, Kolhapur. She was elected as Best Out-Going Student of Sangameshwar College, Solapur. Usha joined Inner Wheel Club of Hubli Mid-Town in 1990. She became Club President in 2002-2003. As President she completed 107 projects, won 7 District Awards and also bagged the 'Best Big Club of the District' Award. She has a passion for writing articles and poems for which she has won many awards. She has travelled abroad extensively.

Jayashri M. Urs

Mrs. Jayshri M. Urs, born on 26th February 1949, did schooling in Christ the King Convent, Mysuru and graduated from Mysore University. A keen sports person represented Mysore University in Table - Tennis. Joined IWC Mysore West in 1986 and was President twice. Did creative Projects for Women empowerment and girl child education. Served all posts at the District. A home maker, has a passion for social service, is Associated with FPAI for nearly two decades, President of FPAI, Mysore Branch for 2016-19, Executive member of Vanivilas Ladies Club, former member of Mysore District Health Committee and a member of Mysore University Annimal ethics Committee.

Padmini Nagachandra

District 319

Padmini Nagachandra holds a Master's degree in English and is a corporate Trainer in Etiquette and Behavioural Skills. She has trained several software professionals in behavioural skills and cross cultural etiquette. Her passion is singing Carnatic classical, light classical music and Bharatanatyam dance. She is a graded artiste at All India Radio and takes great pride in performing casually as well as on the stage. She also sings film songs as a hobby. She is a committed Inner Wheel member and enjoys every activity that Inner Wheel provides for her. The challenge of Chairmanship of the prestigious District 319 was handled by her with aplomb.

Also a partner in family business of Industrial products - Gopinath Enterprises. Inner Wheel is her passion. She was the Convener of the Inner Wheel Multi-District Event 'Sakhyam 2015'. Veila K Raja

Veila K Raja was born in Madurai and is currently residing in Thoothukudi with her husband and 3 daughters. She went on to pursue her MBA dreams after marriage and is now the Director of her export business. Veila is an avid reader, traveller and a staunch supporter of Women's Empowerment.

Padma Preetha Sumanth

District 323

A graduate in English Literature and Advertising, Padma Preetha Sumantha joined IWC of Madras Cosmos in 2006. During her tenure as District Chairman, 4 new Clubs were inaugurated and 12 schools were declared Happy Schools. Many unique programs and joint projects were organized, notable among them being: a joint Club Sports Meet, Rubella Awarathon Walk, Diwali celebrated with 810 orphan children, mega tree planting in and around Chennai, a campaign on “Say No to Plastics” and distribution of 4400 cloth bags with Inner Wheel logo to the general public and a seminar on “Finance and Investment Made Easy” conducted for Inner Wheel members. Her hobbies are gardening, travelling, cooking, reading and singing.

Mira Oberoi

Mira Oberoi was born in Mumbai in a renowned business family. She is married to Ashwin Oberoi, a staunch Rotarian, who inspired her to work for Rotary first and then a few years later she joined Inner Wheel as a Charter Member. She has held all the posts at the club level and thereafter joined the district. At the district level, she has served as ISO, Treasurer and Vice Chairman and then the Chairman for District 324 in 2017-18. Mira enjoys Inner Wheel thoroughly

Shweta Sinha

Shweta Sinha, is a graduate in English Honours from Delhi University and Commercial Arts (Graphic Designing) from Delhi College of Art and Multimedia. She has carved a place of repute in the field of designing and printing and has been running her own creative shoppe for the past 18 years by the name of 'Vigyapan'. Shweta became an Inner Wheel member in the year 2003-04 but being the daughter of an Inner Wheel member, she has been active in Inner Wheel since the age of 9, witnessing the formation of her home club. She is emotionally attached to the Inner Wheel organization with deep rooted belief in its objectives and vision. Shweta got the Best Member in the District Award in 2008-09 and Best President's Award in 2009-10. She joined Dist. Executive Committee as ISO in the year 2012-13. Shweta has attended 3 Triennial Conferences at Varanasi, Hyderabad and Kolkata and 1 International Convention at Melbourne, Australia. She was voting delegate at the Varanasi and Kolkata Triennials and in Melbourne Convention and served as Steward during the Hyderabad Triennial. Shweta strongly believes that everything that happens, happens for good.

Jayashree Bhattacharya

Jayshree Bhattacharyya was born in Bilaspur (C.G) into a blessed family. She has always focused on education of the girl child and women's empowerment and she exudes positive energy. Her IW journey started in 2002. She has served as club ISO, Secretary, President and at several district posts. She attended 3 national Triennials as a voting delegate. This sisterhood continued internationally in 4 South Asia Rallies & 3 Conventions.

Vinny Kandhari

District 329

Born and raised in the Holy City of Amritsar, Vinny Khandhari did her schooling from Sacred Heart Convent and is a graduate in Psychology. She joined IWC Calcutta Mahanagar in 2003 and served as President in the year 2010-11. 'Healing Little Hearts' was her dream project and 16 heart surgeries were sponsored by her club in one year. This project is still continuing and it has featured in the IIW Newsletter. Employment was provided to the visually challenged by installing exercise book making machines at 'Lighthouse for the Blind'. Inner Wheel is her passion and her mantra in life is: Live and help others; live a life with dignity
