Dear Friends in Inner Wheel, Cheerful Greetings to one and all!
When the clock strikes 12 on the midnight of 30th June 2018, new teams at each Inner Wheel level will be born! The joy of holding a new-born, after the pains of labour, who knows better than a woman! She can dare to take life head on. Hearty Congratulations to all the new IW teams and my sincere best wishes for a bright and successful year ahead!
Life is full of challenges. We, the women of Inner Wheel, leave our comfort zones and take up the path of service to mankind. Though family is our first priority and there are demands on our time from all fronts, we strive to make way and give our best to Inner Wheel. This endeavour gives us strength. By harnessing this strength = differently, we can bring about changes with definite effect in the way we have been serving our Charity and Social projects. Let’s be path breakers.
Growth in numbers is our mantra! From 1955 to 2018 it has been an incredibly rewarding journey with a steady increase in members. At present the number rests at a flattering 41,000. However, we need to widen our horizons, enlarge our vistas and further increase our membership. Each one of us should bring at least one new member this year. This will simply double our strength. We need to bring new young members in the fold of our organization. Visits to colleges, ladies groups, kitty groups, working women’s groups will help us find members. I seek your promise and cooperation to reach this objective collectively.
Define your goals! Collect funds for projects and seek new avenues for joint projects: literacy, care for the girl child, women empowerment, swacchata, environment protection, ban on plastic, proper garbage disposal, river cleaning, awareness and protection of nature, clean and green cities, to name a few. Make your country, India, as beautiful as the developed countries of the world! Sur Bharati Suramya!
Dare to lead and be excellent team players! The difference between failure and success is cohesive team work. Trust your limitless potentials. Build high self-esteem and this in turn will build a stronger Inner Wheel fraternity in India! I urge you to have faith in yourself, shed your fears, forget the tears, hold the hands of like-minded friends, search and use your optimum potential, be happy, be beautiful, be compassionate, be mad over your dreams and you will find a beautiful new meaning to life!
Let us march together… the promising sunrise of a New IW Year is awaiting us! I wish you good health, happy hearts, cheerful thoughts, busy hands, pure minds….where God resides! I am deeply humbled and honoured to share this journey with you to successfully achieve our goals.
Let us Empower and Evolve.
With love and regards,
President / National Representative
